The Url Shortener module is a one-stop solution for shortening URLs via your Drupal site.
This module requires the pathauto module. https://www.drupal.org/project/pathauto.
Install the URL Shortener module as you would normally install a contributed Drupal module. Visit https://www.drupal.org/node/1897420 for further information.
The URL Shortener module does not require any configuration.
