Overview

The challenge

Users should be able to:

• View the optimal layout for the site depending on their device's screen size
• Shorten any valid URL
• See a list of their shortened links, even after refreshing the browser
• Copy the shortened link to their clipboard in a single click
• Receive an error message when the form is submitted if:
  • The input field is empty
  • A valid URL is not entered
  • Any error from the server should be displayed

Extra

Added functionality to delete the links from the local storage.

What I learned

I learned how to use Next.js and Tailwind CSS. I also learned how to use the API and how to use the local storage.

• How to make a functional website using Next.js and Tailwind CSS.
• overflow-wrap: break-word; property to break the long words.
• How to use the local storage.
• How to use the API with Next.js.
