Low Real Time Factor Simulation Speed

I am running the champ package on a Paperspace machine running an NVIDIA A4000 GPU and an Intel Xeon 8 Core CPU but the RTF of the simulation is only around 0.4. I also noticed that while running the simulation, one CPU core is maxed to 100% while the others are around 30%. Is there anything I can do to improve the simulation speed? Thanks!
