This application is a content management system (CMS) that help manages a company's employee database.
The application does require dependencies, so enter this code (below) into the terminal and run it:
npm i
To set up for the app:
- Navigate through the terminal into the
dbfolder. - Open up mysql and run
SOURCE schema.sql;andSOURCE seeds.sql; - Then, quit and navigate back out to the root folder.
- Finally, run the app with
node server.jsand answer the questions.
The following options are available to the user when they start the app:
- View All Employees
- Add Employee
- Update Employee's Role
- View All Roles
- Add Role
- View All Department
- Add Department
A video is provided to demonstrate the functionality of the employee tracker.
