ImageXD-2021-solidification-tracking

This project contains files associated with a talk presented by C. Gus Becker and Marianne Corvellec at the 2021 Berkeley Institute of Data Science ImageXD conference. Included is a demo of the solid-liquid (S-L) interface identification and tracking code developed to automatically identifying the S-L interface of solidifying metallic alloys. Radiographic data was captured via transmission electron microscopy (TXM) at the Advanced Photon Source (APS) at Argonne National Laboratory (ANL) in February 2019 by researchers of the Center for Advanced Non-Ferrous Structural Alloys (CANFSA) at Colorado School of Mines.

snails

The goal of this creative coding project was to create a system that generates objects that look and move like snails! The JavaScript library p5.js was used to achieve this. See this project in action on OpenProcessing: https://openprocessing.org/sketch/1574854

manual-feature-tracking

Manually track features across a sequence of images using the Python package napari. Repo contains a Python Jupyter notebook that interfaces with a napari viewer window to allow a user to place points annotating a feature. 3D coordinates of points (slice, row, column) can be exported as a CSV file.

skimage-solidification-tracking

This repository contains an example tutorial for using the Python package scikit-image to track the solidification of a metallic sample. The tutorial was accepted into the long-form documentation of scikit-image and is a gallery example starting with version 0.20.0. This work was first presented at ImageXD 2021: https://youtu.be/cB1HTgmWTd8
