Python implementation of JFRED -- which was developed by Robby Garner and Paco Nathan, with contributions by Søren Gjellerup Christiansen, and used at FringeWare, BBC TV, etc.
The acronym JFRED refers to Java-based FRED Response Emulation Devices.
