The Local Library application serves as a dashboard for a neighborhood library. It provides information about the availability of books, tracks the books that are currently borrowed, and presents general statistics about the library program.
The project's development focused on implementing the necessary algorithms to manage the library's data and provide accurate and up-to-date information to users. While the logistics and design aspects were handled by other team members, my role was to build the underlying algorithms that power the dashboard.
To get started with this project, follow these steps:
- Clone this repository to your local machine using
git clone https://github.com/cannonspears/local-library.git
. - Navigate to the project directory using
cd local-library
. - Install the required dependencies using
npm install
. - Start the development server using
npm start
.
This project includes a set of tests that can be run using the command line. To run the tests, use the command npm test
.
By successfully completing this project, I have demonstrated my ability to work with large datasets, develop algorithms based on those datasets, and utilize various JavaScript features and array methods to solve real-world problems.
