Storm is a complete javascript UI. It is designed to act like a desktop application. It uses ajax for most of the commuinication, and web sockes for the 'real time' commuinication. Storm exposes a REST interface for the ajax request. It has a built in Sinata backend, that will be used mostly for testing. Once the design of Storm is complete a Rails backend will be used for replacement.
