Home assistant support for Opendata CWB (Taiwan Central Bureau). 中文版說明.

This integration is based on OpenWeatherMap (@csparpa, pyowm) to develop.

Install

You can install component with HACS custom repo: HACS > Integrations > 3 dots (upper top corner) > Custom repositories > URL: tsunglung/OpenCWB > Category: Integration

Or manually copy opencwb folder to custom_components folder in your config folder.

And do not forget to restart Home Assistant.

Reqirement

Apply a API key from Opendata CWB

1. Browse to Opendata CWB account page.
2. Login or register an account.
3. Get your personal API Key.

Config

Please follow the config flow of Home Assistant

1. With GUI. Configuration > Integration > Add Integration > OpneCWB a. If the integration didn't show up in the list please REFRESH the page. b. If the integration is still not in the list, you need to clear the browser cache.
2. Enter API key from previous step.
3. Enter the location name of Taiwan (in Chinese). Please reference to the official documents appendix A. a. Some location name need to include the city name. b. You could setup for scan interval for one call per hour or per day.
