This tool was initially created as part of an honours project for the University of Abertay Dundee. It is a Python 3.7 application designed to help make understanding the transactions on the Banano Blockchain easier to follow. It was written in Python in order allow it to be run on any OS however it has only been tested on Windows 10 and Windows 7.
The application requires Python 3.7 to be installed and the following libraries to be installed.

On Windows these can be easily installed by running setup.bat.
In order to access blockchain data, the tool needs to retrieve data from a Banano node. By default the tool requests data from a personal node hosted at "http://206.189.120.80:7072". On first run of gui.py, config.cfg is created and the node that is used can be changed should you wish to change it in case of preference or the node is no longer online. The default contents of the configutation file are as follows:

The default ports for a Banano Node are 7071 and 7072.
Once all dependencies have been installed and a node is online and synced with the Banano network, the application is ready to be used. It can be executed by running gui.py with Python 3. The following features are available within the application.
- Setting an address to perform a visualisation of. A default address can be set in config.cfg
- Setting how many transactions wide to search. This starts from the most recent transaction down to the transaction specified
- Setting the depth of the search allows you to limit whether your relationship search goes beyond the initial address
- Importing a list of addresses separated by colons. This can be useful for highlighting known addresses that may be of interest such as exchanges. The shortest path to known addresses it output in the console
- A Banano only feature* is the highlighting of addresses owned by the BananoBet gambling site (displayed in cyan) and Discord Tipping bot (displayed in yellow)
- Upon each history search, the graph is also saved as a .gefx format in the execution directory which can be opened with Gephi
*While this application is written specifically for Banano, if the target data node is configured to be that of a Nano node or other fork of Nano it should work as the nodes run the same protocols however this has not been tested.
