My modified version of Balena Etcher for better accessibility to Odroid OS images.
We can download and flash a Odroid image in this application without using browser to find a proper OS image.
Here is the description of Etcher application.
Flash OS images to SD cards & USB drives, safely and easily.
Etcher is a powerful OS image flasher built with web technologies to ensure flashing an SDCard or USB drive is a pleasant and safe experience. It protects you from accidentally writing to your hard-drives, ensures every byte of data was written correctly, and much more. It can also directly flash Raspberry Pi devices that support USB device boot mode.
In this application, there's a new button that labeled Flash Odroid image
.
If you click that button, a modal will appear like the below.
We can select the board, OS information to select a target OS image file in the Internet.
You can click the previous step to go back in the steps on the upper side of the modal.
If you click a OS image file in the table, you can see the confirmation window like this.
Click OK
button to download the image from the web. After finishing preparation, the modal will be closed and you can see the image file selected.
Then you can flash this image to your SD Card flawlessly.
If you want to report an issue or giving me any feedback, please create an issue in this Github repository.
You can visit the related web pages by the settings menu.
If you're using macOS, you may face an issue that the developer is not valid.
This is because I don't have a Apple Developer certificate that is only provided for the Apple Developers.
You can bypass that issue by click the allow
button in the Settings - Security and Privacy menu.
I'm providing a kind of manifest file from my personal server. You can find out where the manifest provided in my source tree.
So I can update the list remotely without updating the application.
You can see the original README.md
file from balena-io/etcher
project.
