This repository contains the code and the data for training and evaluating classification and rephrasing models that are part of a framework for boosting distress support dialogue responses with Motivational Interviewing (MI) strategy, a well-established counseling approach that empowers individuals to explore and resolve their own ambivalence towards change using an empathetic and client-centered approach.
