Just a normal popular children's game

How to play 🕹

1. Go to https://onlinetictactoe.vercel.app (currently server is down)

2. Create a room or Join an existing room using the room code

3. That's it! 🎉

Rules 📋

1. The game is played on a 3x3 grid
2. If you are the creator of a room then you will be X else O
3. The first player to get 3 of their marks in a row (up, down, across, or diagonally) is the winner.
4. When all 9 squares are full, the game is over. If no player has 3 marks in a row, the game ends in a tie.

Prerequisites

1. An adequate version of node.js is installed. Here's the adequate version I use :

   $ node -v
   v12.15.0

2. An adequate version of npm is installed. Here's the adequate version I use :

   $ npm -v
   6.14.4

3. An adequate version of yarn is installed. Here's the adequate version I use :

   $ yarn -v
   1.22.4

Next Steps

1. Clone this repository to your local directory

   $ git clone https://github.com/amsavarthan/tictactoe.git

2. Change your directory to project directory

   $ cd tictactoe

3. Install the required dependencies by executing the command

   $ yarn install

4. Start the app

   $ yarn start

5. Open http://localhost:3000 to view it in the browser.
