Overview

EventConnect is an integral part of EduConnect, dedicated to event management and educational gatherings.

Description

• Event Management: EventConnect allows users to create and manage educational events such as webinars, workshops, and seminars.

• Event Promotion: Promote events to a wide audience of learners interested in specific topics.

• Participant Registration: Learners can easily register for events and receive notifications and reminders.

• POAP Certifications: Learners will receive POAP (Proof of Attendance Protocol) Certifications.

Usage

1. Creating an Event: To create an event using EventConnect, login, navigate to the Create Event section, and follow the event creation wizard.

2. Registering for an Event: Learners can explore upcoming events on the platform, select the event of interest, and register for it.

3. Managing Events: EventConnect educators can manage their events, including adding new content, assignments, and quizzes.

4. Publishing POAP Certification Educators can provide POAP Certifications to learners who participated in any events.

Originality

This is an original work by our team. We build on top of the following tooling:

• Frontend: The frontend is built using Next.js 13, the Web3UI kit, and Moralis for seamless user interfaces and blockchain integration.

• Backend: Solidity and the Hardhat framework are used for the backend to create and manage smart contracts on the Ethereum blockchain.

• IPFS: IPFS (InterPlanetary File System) is used for decentralized file storage and content retrieval.

• Livepeer: Livepeer is employed for livestreaming capabilities, ensuring high-quality live educational events.

POAP Issues

I'm experiencing an issue with the POAP website because it requires Auth keys (Access token), and there's a delay in receiving them. Due to this, the automatic certificate distribution process is currently unavailable.
