This project aims at developing an index that compares the districts of Odisha on the basis of socio-economic factors like Literacy rate, Sex ratio etc. The attached .doc file explains all the different parameters used for calculating the index and the individual contribution of each parameter to the index. Microsoft Excel was used for the calculation of the index.
