DashX SDK for Ruby
Add this line to your application's Gemfile:
gem 'dashx'
And then execute:
$ bundle install
Or install it yourself as:
$ gem install dashx
require 'dashx'
DashX.deliver({ to: 'johndoe@example.com' })
DashX.configure do |config|
config.public_key = ENV['DASHX_PUBLIC_KEY']
config.private_key = ENV['DASHX_PRIVATE_KEY']
end
DashX.deliver({
to: 'John Doe <john@example.com>',
body: 'Hello World!'
});
deliver
can accept multiple recipients like so:
DashX.deliver({
to: ['John Doe <john@example.com>','admin@example.com', 'sales@example.com>'],
body: 'Hello World!'
});
You can use identify
to update user info associated with the provided uid
DashX.identify('uid_of_user', {
first_name: 'John',
last_name: 'Doe',
email: 'johndoe@email.com',
phone: '+1-234-567-8910'
})
When you don't know the uid
of a user, you can still use identify
to add user info like so:
DashX.identify({
first_name: 'John',
last_name: 'Doe',
email: 'johndoe@email.com',
phone: '+1-234-567-8910'
})
identify
will automatically append a pseudo-random anonymous_uid
in this case.
DashX.track('event_name', 'uid_of_user', { hello: 'world' })
After checking out the repo, run bin/setup

for an interactive prompt that will allow you to experiment.
To install this gem onto your local machine, run bundle exec rake install
. To release a new version, update the version number in version.rb
, and then run bundle exec rake release
, which will create a git tag for the version, push git commits and tags, and push the .gem
