Description


  • Missile Command is a 1980 arcade game developed and published by Atari, Inc. and licensed to Sega for European release. It was designed by Dave Theurer, who also designed Atari's vector graphics game Tempest from the same year.
  • This program aims to emulate the gameplay in a 3D rendering of the game world.
  • The player's six cities are being attacked by an endless hail of ballistic missiles. As a regional commander of three anti-missile batteries, the player must defend six cities in their zone from being destroyed.

Directions


  • Simply open index.html in the browser to play the game.
  • Use the mouse to move the cursor and aim. Left-Click on the mouse shoots an anti-ballistic missile.
  • Press ‘p’ to pause/unpause the game.

  • Basic:
    • Display the field and the sky
    • Display and animate descending missiles.
    • Display and animate ascending missiles.
    • Add interactions with descending missiles.
  • Extra Credit
    • Animate missile-missile and missile-city/battery explosion. (2%)
    • Track and display score. (2%)
    • Make assignment public. (2%)
