Keyboard to Joystick

This program translates keyboard events to joystick events! It was made with the main purpose of emulating joystick movement with the mouse.

Usage:

Clone the repository and execute the program using cargo. The user needs to be in the "input" group; otherwise, it will be necessary to run the program as root. It is also necessary for the uinput module to be activated.

sudo modprobe uinput
cargo run --release

Configuration:

The program uses an environment variable called "GAMEPAD_PROFILES". Its configuration file must be called "virtualconf.json". Below is an example of configuration:

The file needs to declare mouse, which is the path to your mouse in /dev/input. The same goes for the keyboard. In events, the first value corresponds to the trigger, that is, the mouse/keyboard event. The value associated with the trigger is the Virtual Joystick event, in the following format:

{Value multiplier}|{Multiplication sign}|{Event}
