Merges feature/dma-and-memory -> develop
This PR implements the simple DMA driver in C++ with additional memory management that is aware of memory locations (e.g. in host RAM) and allows to pass that memory into the DMA driver that then figures out how to reach it.

Looks like there are some additional commits from 14th of February that slipped into this MR O:-)
