En ligne de commande, -debug active les informations de debogage dans stderr

Ncurses ne libère pas toute la mémoire, entre 300 et 500 blocs ne sont psa libéré ("still reachable" dans valgrind). D'après la documentation Ncurses:
Any implementation of curses must not free the memory associated with
a screen, since (even after calling endwin()), it must be available
for use in the next call to refresh(). There are also chunks of
memory held for performance reasons.
