I built CodexDraw out of a personal struggle. I experienced significant difficulty when trying to discuss coding problems with my friends. Existing tools didn't provide the seamless collaboration and real-time interaction I needed. Recognizing this challenge, I decided to create CodexDraw – a platform specifically designed to provide real-time collaboration among programmers by having a collaborative code editor and a whiteboard. The aim is to make coding discussions with friends and peers more accessible, efficient, and enjoyable.
That's pretty easy. To ensure that you are able to install everything properly, we would recommend you to have Git, and Node.js installed.
We will first start with setting up the Local Project Environment:
git clone https://github.com/Tathagat27/CODEXDRAW.git
cd CODEXDRAW
npm run dev:install
Now we will add the environment variables in the client/
- Create a .env file in client directory according to .example.env given in the client directory.
Once you run the Commands and get environment variables and everything fine, we are all set to run the app ✔️
On the root level run the following command:
npm run dev-
User can create Coderooms or join Coderooms using room code.

A real-time collaborative code editor.

You can also Execute your code effortlessly and view its output directly on CodexDraw.

Participants can also share their thoughts via a real-time whiteboard.

Its responsive design allows it to adapt seamlessly to various screen sizes.
