This repo contains the backend and frontend code for a very basic weather app that displays the weather description of any city
The backend was built with express, node js
- Install NodeJS
- pull the backend branch at backend branch
- Open the folder on your local computer
- At the terminal, run npm install to install all packages
- create a .env file and replace the variables in the .env.example file with the correct variables
- run npm run start:dev or nodemon to start the server
The api url was deployed using render and the live link is https://onepipe.onrender.com
The frontend was built with chakra ui and React JS
Frontend Setup
- Navigate to the frontend branch to view the step by step instruction for setting up the frontend
The app was deployed using netlify and the live url is located at https://6403c99d8eee8315ae0c7389--viewcityweather.netlify.app/
