Chess Game

This is a simple implementation of a chess game using JavaScript. The game allows two players to take turns making moves on a virtual chessboard.

Features

• Players can select and move chess pieces according to the rules of chess.
• The game enforces turn-based gameplay, ensuring each player moves their pieces in sequence.
• Illegal moves are not allowed, and players are notified if they attempt to make an invalid move.
• The game checks for checkmate and stalemate conditions to determine the end of the game.
• Messages or alerts are displayed to indicate the game status, such as checkmate or stalemate.

Usage

1. Clone or download the repository.
2. Open the index.html file in a web browser.
3. The chessboard will be displayed on the screen.
4. Click on a chess piece to select it.
5. Click on a valid destination cell to move the selected piece.
6. Players take turns making moves until the game ends.
