Lab-Assistant

The purpose of this project is to create a virtual assistant to assist SPARC members using Python. The virtual assistant will be fully featured including abilities to help in the lab to automating a home. It will include a system that allows for easy to use management of lab equipment and various administrative features. The virtual assistant could also be integrated on a mobile robotic platform to allow more capabilities that a static computing platform could. Our current iteration of the virtual assistant is named Karen.

AFRL-Water-Cooler

A joint project of a mechanical senior design team and SPARC for the Air Force Research Lab Challenge in 2015. Created with the purpose of cooling one's internal body temperature. Thermoelectric components cool a water tank attached to an average Camelbak to bring down the temperature of the water being drank.

Lab-Assistant-IO

The purpose of this project is to create a virtual assistant to assist SPARC members using Node.JS. The virtual assistant will be fully featured including abilities to help in the lab to automating a home. It will include a system that allows for easy to use management of lab equipment and various administrative features. The virtual assistant could also be integrated on a mobile robotic platform to allow more capabilities that a static computing platform could. Quadcopter

As one of SPARC's personal projects, we are building a fully customizable quadcopter. The initial design was built using a premade kit. Future plans with the quadcopter are to use it for aerial footage and test semi-autonomous/autonomous control.

SARP-Bot-Software

SPARC Autonomous ROS Platform Robot (SARP). SPARC's IEEE SoutheastCon Hardware Competition 2019 robot has great hardware for numerous robotics application in a small form factor. The practice bot will be revamped to support an electronics upgrade to allow more processor intensive computations.

Claw-Machine

As an outreach project for the Southeastern Center of Robotics Education (SCORE), SPARC has been tasked with design and manufacturing a robotic claw machine. The claw machine is intended to be very similar to one that you would find at a mall except it will be designed with the intention that everyone wins.

NASA-RMC-2015

Auburn University competes in NASA's Robotic Mining Competition. The team which is a part of Space Club and affiliated with SPARC designs, builds, and programs a robot that excavates the simulated basaltic regolith and the ice on a small arena. This was the robot built during the 2014-2015 school year.

Party-Modular-Light-System

A project for making controllable modular lights for the SPARC lab. The lights are small LED strips that magnetically attach to a fabricated wire that spans across the top perimeter of the lab. The LED's are controlled by an H-Bridge driven by an Arduino. The system is contained in a small plastic exposure with four buttons to control the LCD interface to change settings.
