Twitter-like API using Flask

This project build a version of Twitter-like API using Flask includes of registration, posting tweets, following/unfollowing users, and retrieving user profiles.

Flask

Flask is a micro web framework written in Python. It is classified as a microframework because it does not require particular tools or libraries. It has no database abstraction layer, form validation, or any other components where pre-existing third-party libraries provide common functions.

API Endpoints

Registration

• URL: /auth/registration

• Method: POST

• Request Body:

  • username (string): The username.
  • password (string): The password.
  • bio (string): The short 'about me' summary.

  

Login

• URL: /auth/login

• Method: POST

• Request Body:

  • username (string): The username.
  • password (string): The password.

  

  User Profile

• URL: /user

• Method: GET

  

  Post a Tweet

• URL: /post/tweet

• Method: POST

• Request Body:

  • tweet (string): The twitter message displayed on a user's profile page.
