Meta_s2 (Metascores 2) is a WordPress theme that I originally hacked together to test out Jetpack's Featured Content. Since then, I have added some basic layout and styling, converted the CSS to SASS, and turned the theme into a mess.
I'm not sure what my endgame is, but as of now I plan on continuing to build this theme out to a.) learn and b.) possibly make something presentable.
- As the name may suggest, this theme is built using _s. You can head over to http://underscores.me and generate your own
_s
based theme there. - Parts of the theme may require having Jetpack installed and connected to function properly.
- You might be able to see a live preview of the theme itself at ryancowles.me... but no guarantees.
- Pull request are more than welcome!
Meta_s2 (Metascores 2) is a minimally responsive theme that showcases your featured posts in a prominent header section on the homepage. It is a two column theme that supports multiple post formats, custom backgrounds, and featured images.

Featured Content The featured posts area on the front-page requires Jetpack to be installed and activated in order to work. If it is, you can follow these steps to use the feature:
- From your Dashboard, navigate to Appearance > Customize.
- Find the "Featured Content" header in the menu on the left, and click to expand it.
- Enter a tag that you would like to use to specify which posts are shown in the Featured Content area.
- Save your changes.
That's it! Now, posts that have the tag that you specified will show in the Featured Content area on the front-page.
Infinite Scroll Jetpack's Infinite Scroll module is also supported. You can follow these steps to enable it:
- Navigate to the Jetpack page in your Dashboard.
- Find the "Infinite Scroll" module and activate it.
- (optional) Click the "Configure" button to adjust Infinite Scroll settings.
