Updated 7 minutes ago In this work I have a function y = f(x1,x2) where the dependence is unknown. However there is a hidden dependece. This work is based on results obtained from COMSOL Multiphysics 5.2(R). Where we want to identify the optical field enhancement of different surface patterns. The data obtained is related to the surface patterns and correspondent enhancement obtained. In this case we want to check how different roughness sizes influence the enhancement. The roughness is characterized by 2 dimensions x1 and x2 and the enhancement is given by y. After the combination of multiple values for x1 and x2 we built a matrix with dimension x1.size and x2.size with values corresponding to the enhacement. This matrix is afterwards converted into a 2d surface map plot. The enhancement value goes from 1 < Enh ~< 10^12 so a convinient way to present the data is through log10 of the enhancement.
AFM-roughness-height-n-n-distance
In this work we extracted information from AFM measurements. We are observing a patterned formation in the AFM, however this pattern formation sometimes is not uniform. AFM measurements are processed with Gwyddian(R) software, were we will select one slice of the profile and save the data (length, height) in a csv. If the patterned is not completly formed, the patterned is bell shapped. When the patterned is complete the patterned is cylindrical shapped. One way to analyse these non-uniform patterns is by apply a gaussian fit in the height profile, thus obtaining information about the height, the thickness of the pattern and the distance between neightbour patterns.

Polymer-film-colour-to-thickness
In microfabrication, there is a process called spin coating. When you spin coat a polymer solution over a silicon surface, depending on the spining of the machine, different thicknesses of the polymer film can be obtained. With different thicknesses, the light reflection makes the polymer have different colours, the colour that is observed depends on the thickness of the film (different thickness = different light distance path). By having a reference colour chart (colour <=> thickness) I plan to make a calibration curve between the RGB colour scheme and film thickness, so that we can get the height profile of a random polymer film image.
