Welcome to the MeriSKILL Internship Sales Data Analysis project! This project aims to analyze sales data to identify trends, top-selling products, and revenue metrics for business decision-making.

The purpose of this project is to extract valuable insights from a large sales dataset to enhance strategic decision-making in businesses.

In this project, you will explore a large sales dataset to extract valuable insights. You will dive into sales trends over time, identify the best-selling products, calculate revenue metrics such as total sales and profit margins, and create visualizations to present your findings effectively. This project will showcase your ability to manipulate and derive insights from large datasets, enabling you to make data-driven recommendations for optimizing sales strategies.

#💫 Execution Part: Transformation of Data Step 1: Download the dataset and upload it using the 'Get Data' option in Power BI. Step 2: Identify and promote the headers. Navigate to the 'Transform' tab and select 'Detect Data Type' to automatically identify the data type of each column. Step 3: Split the datetime into date and time stamp using the 'Split Column' option and select the space as the delimiter. Step 4: Upon completing the data transformation, click on 'Close & Apply' located at the top left.

💫Visualization of Data

Step 1: Visualize sales trend over time using the line chart. Click on the Month name and Sales column, drag it to the desired position. Sort the months in chronological order.

Step 2: Visualize best selling products using a tree map. Access the "Format" option for the visualization and adjust the settings as desired.

Step 3: Visualize top 5 best selling products using a stacked bar chart. Drag and drop the "Product" into the Y-axis and place the "Quantity" into the X-axis.

Step 4: Visualize top 5 cities by sales using a map.

Step 5: Visualize weekly sales distribution by weekday using a column chart.

Step 6: Utilize a slicer to filter data by month name.

Step 7: Calculate revenue metrics including total profit, sales quantity, and profit margin. Use the "Card" visualization type to display these metrics.
