Build errors for rtxdi-sdk

I followed the directions in the readme exactly, cloned with recursive, ran the update_dep batch file...

I have tried with both Visual Studio 2019 and 2022, same result. Here is what I'm seeing:

So I tried running update_dependencies.bat from a cmd prompt instead of clicking on it through explorer so this way I can catch any errors. I'm seeing this:

Unpacking Python interpreter ...
Access is denied.
The system cannot find the file specified.
!!! Failure while configuring local machine :( !!!

So something is weird with permissions on this drive I guess.

Well the dependencies were not the problem. I'm still seeing the above errors and I even tried on another machine.

I did a new recursive clone/update_dep and errors are still there. Here's the full build log:

It looks like the version of dxc.exe that we ship with the SDK is not compatible with dxil.dll on some systems.
Can you try to point the build at a version of DXC that comes with the Windows SDK that you have installed in the system?
It's the CMake variable DXC_DXIL_EXECUTABLE, and the actual executable would be somewhere like C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\10\bin\10.0.22000.0\x64\dxc.exe

Ok it looks like the Win 11 SDK 10.0.22000.0 is required here. I tried the latest Win 10 SDK (10.0.20348.0) which does fix most of the errors from above, but it still had the error from my first post. Then I tried the 10.0.22000.0 SDK, which I never bothered with before since the VS updater calls this Win 11 SDK and I don't have Win 11, but it does work with that one.
