Installation

.NET

First you should install the dotnet SDK https://dotnet.microsoft.com/download/dotnet/5.0

Angular

To install Angular you need nodejs installed https://nodejs.org/en/download/ once installed you can get the Angular cli https://cli.angular.io/

MySQL

OpenEvent uses a local MySQL datbase in development so you'll need a local instance running and insert your connection string into OpenEvent.Web/appsettings.Development.json

Running

To run the app make sure you have all prerequisites first.

Then simply cd into the OpenEvent.Web directory, restore all the packages (install any extra stuff, should only need to do once) and then run the program.

Running the first time will take along time as it downloads all npm packages and will re compile them into esm2015 from es2015

$ cd OpenEvent.Web
$ dotnet restore
$ dotnet run

This should start the backend API, host the Angular app and seed the database.

Visit http://localhost:5000/

If you want Stripe webhook catching then you'll need the stripe cli tool https://stripe.com/docs/stripe-cli

Then start a listener that forwards to the local API.

$ stripe listen --forward-to localhost:5000/api/transaction/capture

Test User

There is a test user created on startup you can use

Email -> [e-mail]

Password -> Password@1
