  • surfacegravity - Calculates surface gravity of specified body. kg,m->m/s^2
  • synchronous - Semimajor axis of the synchronous orbit around a body. s,kg -> m
  • synodic - Calculates synodic period of two specified bodies. s,s -> s

  • runs - Finds all runs in a set.
  • sor - Returns greatest straight or run in a set.
  • straights - Finds all straights in a set.

Wavefunction Library Documentation

All functions require three components - x (Time in s), freq (Frequency in hz), and amp (Amplitude). They all return a y-value.

Wave Functions

  • f2n - turns a frequency into a musical note
  • n2f - turns a musical note into a frequency
  • sawtooth - Sawtooth wave function. Uses modulo.
  • sine - Sine wave function. Uses trigonometric functions.
  • sine1 - Sine wave function. Uses complex powers to compute the wave instead of trigonometric functions.
  • square - Square wave function. Uses flooring and modulo.
  • square1 - Square wave function. Uses the imaginary part of ln(sin(x)).
  • triangle - Triangle wave function.

Matrix Variables

  • lm - a dictionary of 5x5 matrices containing the alphabet
  • long - a large sample markov matrix

Matrix Functions

  • adj - finds the adjugate of the matrix
  • augmatrixsolve - solves the augmented matrix
  • companion - finds the companion matrix of the given polynomial coefficients
  • det - finds the determinant of the matrix
  • disp - displays matrix in a more natural look
  • disp2 - like disp, but displays block characters for 1s and blanks for other values
  • echelon - converts the matrix to row echelon form
  • eigenhelp - finds the rre of the matrix minus the eigenvalue times the identity matrix. The result is a solved system of equations.
  • flipx - flips the matrix across the x-axis
  • flipy - flips the matrix across the y-axis
  • identity - finds the identity matrix with n rows
  • infpower - finds the approximate infinite power of the matrix. may cause the program to hang if such a value does not exist.
  • inverse - finds the inverse of the matrixmatrix
  • matrixadd - adds two matrices
  • matrixdiv - multiplies one matrix by the inverse of another
  • matrixexp - raises a matrix to an integer power
  • matrixmul - multiplies two matrices
  • matrixsub - subtracts two matrices

  • rmatrix - creates an mxn matrix with random values between 0 and 1
  • rot - rotates the matrix a given number of times clockwise 90 degrees
  • rotationmatrix - gives the rotation matrix for the given angle
  • rre - converts the matrix to reduced row echelon form... I think.
  • smallmatrixsqrt - attempts to find square roots of a 2x2 matrix
  • trace - finds the trace of a square matrix
  • transpose - finds the transposition of a matrix
  • zero - finds the zero matrix with n rows
