Asana for Obsidian
Wouldn't it be nice to be able to link to Asana tasks, with readable links. Well, it's here, or atleast this is the first version. The MVP so to speak.
Features
- Auto-replacing Asana task links with title.
Planned
- In Obsidian search for tasks.
- When clicking on an Asana task create a new page filled with task information.
Setup
- Install the plugin
- Go to the Asana settings page and add your Personal Access Token
- Click on the cloud to sync your Asana Personal Access Token
How to get Asana Personal Access Token
- Go to https://app.asana.com/0/my-apps
- Login if needed
- Click the "+ Create new Token" button (below Personal access tokens)
- Enter a token name in the modal
- Agree to the terms and conditions
- Click the "Create token" button
- If all went well, you'll see an Asana personal access token. Copy this token to a save place
(Optional) Install beta using Obsidian42 - BRAT
- Install BRAT from the Community Plugins in Obsidian
- Open the command palette and run the command BRAT: Add a beta plugin for testing
- Paste this repo's link into the pop-up

- After BRAT confirms the installation, in Settings go to the Community plugins tab
- Refresh the Community plugins list
- Enable the Asana plugin
