Source of Stroke Volume (SV) and Cardiac Output (CO)

Nicky-Jin opened this issue · comments

Hi everyone,

There are records of Stroke Volume (SV) and Cardiac Output (CO) in the nurseCharting and vitalAperiodic Table. However, I find no clue about the source of these records. Were the data derived from ultrasound examinations or something else?

Looking forward to your reply.

Best Regards,
Nicky

Nicky,
My understanding is that the vitalaperiodic values are automatically recorded off patient monitors, It seems unlikely these are generated by ultrasound. Nursecharting values can be carried over from the vitalaperiodic table, or charted from another source (e.g., a report).

The methods and documentation of these methods may also vary across hospital, so unless you see specific documentation about the method, you may not be able to determine it exactly.

As always, if you find additional information about this, please report back and we can add to the knowledgebase.

Jesse

Hi Jesse,

Thank you for your comment!

It's a pity that the methods for the measurement were not collected.

Anyway, your reply do help a lot. Thanks again for your time!
