PEEP value in lab table and respiratory charting

mostafaalishahi opened this issue · comments

I was wondering what could be the possible difference between PEEP in the lab table vs the PEEP that is available in the respiratory charting table?
Does the one in the lab refer to the PEEP measured and the one in the respiratory charting refer to the PEEP that was set on the ventilator?

My understanding is that sometimes the associated vent settings at the time of an ABG, such as PEEP and fio2, are input with the lab draw. So that should reflect the PEEP setting at the time the lab was taken.

Many thanks, one more question.
Would it be correct to consider the PEEP that is recorded in the respiratory charting table as the PEEP which is set on the ventilator?

Thanks a lot
