The boys annual Minecraft kick - 2024 edition

Instructions

Download Minecraft Java Edition and install it
Launch the 1.20.1 version of Minecraft, once you get to the menu you can close out of Minecraft
- For instructions on how to install a different version of Minecraft, use this guide
Download this repository by clicking the green <> Code button above and then clicking the Download ZIP button. Alternatively download the project from the releases tab
Unzip the folder
Double click on the forge-1.20.1-47.2.32.jar file and it should open the installer window.
- Make sure the "Install Client" option is selected before hitting OK to begin the install (it should be selected by default)
- The installer will handle everything automatically, and you can simply close it when it is done
  - If the installer just closes immedately, or if it has any errors just let me know. We can troubleshoot it together!
Navigate to %appdata%\.minecraft in another file explorer window
Copy the mods folder to the .minecraft folder you just opened
- If you already had mods installed you will need to rename the folder to something else (i.e. "old-mods")
Launch the Minecraft launcher and make sure it is set to Forge 1.20.1
- It may warn you about 3rd party launchers, just ignore it I picky promise I'm only gonna hack you a lil bit ;)
Add the server
- The servers IP address is 68.45.239.183:8008
Join the server and have fun!
