The Linux deployment target is an AppImage. Electron apps no longer support desktop integration for AppImages out of the box. AppLauncher is the recommended utility to integrate and launch the WarChat AppImage on Linux.
To install AppLauncher on a Debian-based distribution with Aptitude, for example:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:appimagelauncher-team/stable
sudo apt update
sudo apt install appimagelauncher
