CoinMarketCap Quote Proxy

Proxy for cryptocurrencies prices Public API The purpose is to give cryptocurrencies prices easily (without the necessity to have exact prices). My first usage was to use it with my Excel sheet to automatically update price tables but it can be used for any application.
You can add coin from the task initialize_quotes or by adding them from the admin api.

If you need more, please use the CoinMarketCap API directly

ENV

Name	Description
ADMIN_API_KEYS	Comma separated string values
CMC_APIKEY	CoinMarketCap api key
CMC_HOST	Endpoint to CoinMarketCap (ie https://pro-api.coinmarketcap.com)
DATABASE_URL	Postgresql database url
MARKET_DEPTH	Initial count of coins fetched with tasks/initialize_quotes.js
MAX_COIN	Max number of coins that will be updated and delivered by the api

Scripts

npm start start the api server.

node tasks/initialize_quotes.js import the {MARKET_DEPTH} first coins from CoinMarketCap

node tasks/update_quote.js should be executed some times (every 20 min) to update price table. Use 1 api credit by 100 coins.

node tasks/update_meta.js should be executed once a day or less

GET /admin/quotes list all cryptocurrencies

POST /admin/quotes Create a new cryptocurrency

GET /admin/quotes/:id show a cryptocurrency by id

DELETE /admin/quotes/:id Delete one cryptocurrencies by id

GET /admin/quotes/cmc?symbol=BTC Display available cryptocurrencies with the given symbol directly from CoinMarketCap (use api credits)
