Astronomer Enterprise

Build Status

Updates are not guaranteed to be non-interrupting. Always use Terraform best-practices when deploying updates by reviewing the Terraform "plan" and understanding the impact before applying.

Required in path and tested versions

Sample execution environment

Sample use

Example module block

The above example creates all resources including VPC and subnets.

Note

If using private mangement API, you must have some way to access the API. There are a few ways to do this. You can execute from a host inside the VPC you intend to deploy EKS in. You can use --target on module.aws, then start a proxy through the bastion before applying the rest of the module. It may be easiest to just deploy with the management API public, then manually switch it to private in the AWS console.

Architecture

  • optional bastion
  • optional VPC and subnet creation
  • optional private management API

Configurations

Certificate

By default, a certificate will be generated from LetsEncrypt. Certificates can be used from ther sources if they can be exported into plain text PEM format:

  lets_encrypt          = false
  tls_cert              = <<EOF
-----BEGIN CERTIFICATE-----
-----END CERTIFICATE-----
-----BEGIN CERTIFICATE-----
-----END CERTIFICATE-----
EOF
  tls_key               = <<EOF
-----BEGIN PRIVATE KEY-----
-----END PRIVATE KEY-----
EOF
}
}

Multiple AZ Database

To deploy the Aurora database to multiple availability zones, additional replicas and subnets in different AZs need to be specified:

  db_replica_count      = 2
  db_subnets            = []

Note: db_subnets only need to be specified if deploying to pre-existing subnets. Otherwise, all subnets will be created fresh and the db_subnets parameter can be excluded from the enterprise module.
