Problem Statement

AtliQ Grands owns multiple five-star hotels across India. They have been in the hospitality industry for the past 20 years. Due to strategic moves from other competitors and ineffective decision-making in management, AtliQ Grands are losing its market share and revenue in the luxury/business hotels category. As a strategic move, the managing director of AtliQ Grands wanted to incorporate “Business and Data Intelligence” to regain their market share and revenue. However, they do not have an in-house data analytics team to provide them with these insights. Their revenue management team had decided to hire a 3rd party service provider to provide them with insights from their historical data.

Task

Created 2 dashboards with relevant KPIs to find insights from the given data and help business to make achieve their objectives.

Insights

  1. Mumbai emerges as the top revenue generator, contributing a significant 668.6 million, while Delhi exhibits the lowest revenue at 294.5 million. Focused efforts are needed to unlock its full potential and bridge the gap with high-performing regions like Mumbai.
  2. Atliq Exotica property has performed better than others with Revenue 320M, Average rating 3.62, Occupancy percentage 57 and Cancellation rate as 24.4%.
  3. While Atliq Seasons recorded the lowest average rating (2.29), a significant 72.54% gap with the top-performing Atliq Blu(3.96 Average Rating), necessitates targeted strategies to enhance guest satisfaction in this property.
  4. AtliQ Bay excels in attracting guests, achieving a 66% Occupancy.
  5. Despite leading in bookings, Elite rooms require focused attention due to their elevated cancellation rate.
  6. A significant increase in cancellations during June (25.09%) led to a 0.24% decrease in Occupancy Rate compared to the average.
