This project was done as part of ISM 6930 Big Data Course, it involved implementing the various Big Data Technologies. Some of the Big Data Technologies used for this project are:
- A webscrapper was developed in Python to scrape the data from Amazon.com and store it in Document format to be used in MongoDB.
- Implemented a Product Recommendation Engine using Azure Cognitive Services.
- The website was developed with ExpressJS a web development framework for NodeJS and also used Bootstrap and hbs templates for the Front End development.
- Used Azure ElasticSearch for the Text Search and Redis Cache for in-memory Data Cache.
- MongoDB as the database.
- Hosted the Web app and the MongoDB on Windows Azure.
