The Screen Copy Launcher launchers scrcpy makes it easy for the user to switch between USB and Wi-Fi

Steps (Choco package manager)

Install Scrpy and adb via Chocolatey

1. Run Powershell as admin
2. Run Get-ExecutionPolicy. If it returns Restricted, then run Set-ExecutionPolicy AllSigned or Set-ExecutionPolicy Bypass -Scope Process.
3. Use the following command in an amdin Powershell:
Set-ExecutionPolicy Bypass -Scope Process -Force; [System.Net.ServicePointManager]::SecurityProtocol = [System.Net.ServicePointManager]::SecurityProtocol -bor 3072; iex ((New-Object System.Net.WebClient).DownloadString('https://community.chocolatey.org/install.ps1'))
4. Run:
choco install scrcpy
choco install adb    # if you don't have it yet
5. Run:
curl.exe -L -o screencopy.ps1 https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Jeffrey-Fazal/screencopy/main/scrcpy.ps1

Steps (manual)

Download the latest release of scrcpy for your OS
Make sure adb is installed
(optional) change the location of the download to somewhere memorable like C:\applications
Add Scrcpy’s location to the PATH variable
Download this script in a convenient place like your home folder
Launch the script

Notes

USB debugger must be enabled on the phone. Most phones have an about section in the settings. Tapping about 7 times will enable usb debugging or developer options For the first run, if you haven’t configured the device with Wi-Fi before make sure to run the Wi-Fi option with the phone plugged into USB.

Powershell execution policy

Change the Execution Policy: To allow script execution, follow these steps:

Open a PowerShell window as an administrator. Run the following command: powershell Copy code Set-ExecutionPolicy -ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned This command sets the execution policy to "RemoteSigned," allowing the execution of locally created scripts. Please note that it still requires digitally signed scripts when downloaded from the internet. Bypass the Execution Policy for a Single Script: If you want to temporarily run a script without changing the execution policy, follow these steps:

Open a PowerShell window as an administrator. Run the following command: powershell Copy code PowerShell.exe -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File "C:\path\to\your\script.ps1" Replace "C:\path\to\your\script.ps1" with the actual path to your script file. These instructions provide options for modifying the execution policy to run scripts, either by changing the policy itself or bypassing it for specific scripts. Make sure to provide the appropriate paths to your script file in the commands.
