Build

git clone https://github.com/J-Siu/docker_tor.git
cd docker_compose/docker/tor
docker build --network=host -t jsiu/tor .

Usage

Host Directories and Volume Mapping

Host	Inside Container	Mapping Required	Usage
${TZ}	P_TZ	no	time zone
${TOR_UID}	PUID	yes	tor uid
${TOR_GID}	PGID	yes	tor gid
${TOR_CNF}	/torrc	yes	tor config file
${TOR_DAT}	/tor/.tor/	yes	tor data directory

Run

docker run \
-d \
-e PUID=1001 \
-e PGID=1002 \
-e P_TZ=America/New_York \
-v /home/jsiu/torrc:/torrc \
-v /home/jsiu/tor:/tor/.tor \
--network=host \
jsiu/tor

Compose

Get docker-compose template from image:

docker run --rm jsiu/tor cat /docker-compose.yml > docker-compose.yml
docker run --rm jsiu/tor cat /env > .env

Fill in .env according to your environment.

docker-compose up
