INSTRUCTION MANUAL:
- Install the latest version of python from https://www.python.org/downloads/. Skip to Step 3 if already installed.
- Add python to the PATH Environment variable.
- Run command prompt as Administrator.
- Upgrade pip to the latest version using command: pip install --upgrade pip , you can check the pip version on your system using pip -V.
- Install OpenCv package, using the command: pip install opencv-contrib-python.
- Install pyautogui using the command: pip install PyAutoGUI.
- Install Tkinter using the command: pip install tk.
- Install Numpy using the command: pip install numpy.
- Fork-Clone or download the zip folder.
- Make sure to store the images in the same directory as the python file gesture_remote.py. (keymapping.png, powerpoint.png, wasdkeys.png, vlcmedia.png, TeamLabel.png)
- Open a Text Editor/ spyder/ Anaconda/ command prompt.
- Make sure the webcam (external / in-built) is working.
- Run the python file using any of the applications specified in step 11 and python3 gesture_remote.py if command prompt is used
