Point wise vs Uniform Convergence

An illustration as to why pointwise convergence of objective functions isn't enough to guarantee that the minimizers converge.

To make the animations you'll need to:

• Run the mkanims.sh file in a bash terminal (or alternatively run the commands inside the bash script in your terminal of choice)
