MVS 3.8J COBOL Programming

Through hard fought trial and error the following are COBOL and assembly code files with jcl to run them that cover a wide area of usuage including:

• Hello MVS in COBOL
• Hello World in Assembler (BAL)
• Table Handling in COBOL and BAL.
• COBOL copy book.
• COBOL calling COBOL
• COBOL calling BAL
• BAL calling BAL
• Sequential file processing in COBOL and BAL

None coding tasks and utilities such as:

• Installing MVS 3.8 on Linux
• Getting Free 3270 emulator.
• Installing free PDF print spooler (prtspool by Tim Pinkawa)
• Using FTP to upload/download files
• JCL to allocate PDS's and PS's.
