Local Spotlight is a web application designed to shine a spotlight on local music artists. The app provides a searchable, user-driven database of spotify artists with an associated zip code. Users are able to login via Spotify O-Auth services. From there a they can search for artists within a scalable distance of their default or entered zip code. Users are able to play that artists music and explore their spotify discogprahy from within the app. If a user enjoys an artists they can save them to their favorites to be easily found later.
