Fluent-Npp takes the awesome dark theme from Visual Studio and brings it to Notepad++, it also includes a stylish touch with the addition of Mica effect. The main goal is to make switching between files in Visual Studio and Notepad++ seamless.
This version is built on top of https://github.com/hellon8/VS2019-Dark-Npp, giving credit to the original version at https://github.com/SeanCline/Npp-VS2012-Dark. The focus of these enhancements is to improve readability, contrast, differentiation among different types of keywords and adding mica effect.
- If you haven't already, turn on Notepad++ dark mode in Preferences -> Dark Mode to a better look and feel.
- Right Click

and select Save As to download the theme. - Go to %APPDATA%\Notepad++.
- Open themes folder, create a new folder named themes if it doesn't exists.
- Place downloaded .xml file inside the folder.
- Restart Notepad++.
- Open Settings -> Style Configurator.
- Select Fluent from the theme drop-down box.
- Click Save & Close.
- Open Settings -> Preferences -> Dark Mode.
- Customize Top tone color to Black or #000000.
- Close.
- Install Npp-DarkNpp plugin (https://github.com/ozone10/Npp-DarkNpp)
- Open Plugins -> DarkNpp -> Mica.
