Introduction
This paper, "Bitcoin and Elliptic Curves", has been created to give an in-depth introduction to Bitcoin (Blockchain, Transactions, Mining, Proof-of-Work, Digital Signatures, Wallets, Environmental Impact, Cracking Bitcoin Wallets) and how/why all of this technology uses the elliptic curves.
All the material was developed for the 'Cryptography Foundation' Ca' Foscari University master's degree course in 'Software Dependability and Cyber Security' (2018/2019).
