ProductAnalysis
Over the summer, I spent some time creating a web scraping application which has the ability to get data about certain products from the internet, analyze it and output graphs to display it. The basic function of the app can be separated into 4 steps: Scrape the data from the Web Pages (price, name, quantity) Create a list of the product objects and compare the changes of the products Display the changes graphically Remove any outliers and see if any trends can be identified and used to create relevant products The application still has a lot of room for improvement, as certain aspects are hard coded and require to be revised, however, I learned a lot from it. I hope to apply my BeautifulSoup and CSV file handling skills in the future.
