The Iena project was realized by Softia for the University of Lorraine. enter image description here enter image description here 5 Moodle plugins have been made to make Moodle more attractive for education.

There is also a desire to improve the interface between the Moodle and Mahara APIs.

Here is the list of the 5 plugins :

  • moodle-filter_iena : This plugin aims to easily include a modal in a page. Sources : https://github.com/SoftiaFR/moodle-filter_iena

  • moodle-block_career : This block plugin adds a block in a course. It makes it easier to organize activities in a course. It makes navigation between the different resources more fun. Sources : https://github.com/SoftiaFR/moodle-block_career_iena

  • moodle-format_iena : This format plugin changes the interface of a course, it also adds features like a progress bar to control the completion of activations. There are also other indicators and also crons that send reminders to students when classes take place during the day. (it can be configured).   • moodle-block_competency_iena : This block plugin makes it easier to manage skills in Moodle. There is now a clear picture to link skills to resources. There are also charts with lists of students and the skills they have acquired. There is also the possibility to make role requests in order to manage a repository.   • moodle-block_mahara_iena : This block plugin connects the Mahara and moodle APIs. the block allows you to create Mahara groups with information from a Moodle course. It automatically adds Moodle members to the Mahara group. Sources : https://github.com/SoftiaFR/moodle-block_mahara_iena
